Summary

This job is seeking a Contracts Closeout Administrator with experience in government contract closeout, particularly with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) contracts. The role involves supporting contract closeout functions, maintaining auditable records, ensuring compliance, and identifying process improvements. The ideal candidate should have at least three years of federal government closeout administration experience and possess strong attention to detail and communication skills.

What you'll do

  • Perform Government Contract & Subcontract Closeout administration for a high volume of Government contracts within a diverse portfolio under the direction of the Director of Contracts
  • Operate consistently with STR’s Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and model these values in all activities and interactions
  • Reviews contracts and subcontracts for ‘cradle-to-grave' close out actions
  • Maintain all auditable records of the Closeout process in accordance with company and contract requirements
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and with legal, regulatory, ethical, and contractual requirements
  • Identify potential process improvements to the Director of Contracts
  • Collaborate closely and communicate effectively and professionally with STR personnel on a regular basis
  • Participate in special projects as needed

Requirements

  • Ideal candidate will have worked in a Government Contracting environment with closeout experience
  • US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Security Clearance, if required
  • Preference for three or more (3+) years of Federal Government Closeout administration experience with DoD and Intelligence customers
  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and general contracts law principles
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply federal regulations and related acquisition policies and guidance
  • Ability to collaborate, communicate, and coordinate effectively and in a professional manner across the organization
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to establish and meet deadlines
  • Proficient organization skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Desire to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to maintain professional and effective relationships with internal and external customers
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Working experience using Deltek Costpoint is desired
  • Experience with Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) is desire
