Summary

Truveta is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Platform Engineering team on a contract basis. The role involves building a self-service platform that enables engineers to develop and operate high-quality services efficiently, covering all aspects of service delivery. The ideal candidate should have experience in cloud-native platforms, modern software design approaches, and possess excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

What you'll do

  • Building a self-service platform for engineers
  • Cloud native compute infrastructure on top of Azure
  • Hosting of interactive and large-scale Big Data applications
  • Orchestration engine for writing reliable distributed software
  • Unified observability stack including central log analytics, metrics, dashboard, monitoring
  • Canary service that provides a continuous testing infrastructure
  • Private service networking and discovery mechanism
  • Fully automated build and safe deploy pipelines
  • API gateway for serving public services
  • Mechanisms for failover and zero-downtime upgrades

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience developing production quality software in a team setting
  • 2+ years of experience developing modern cloud-native platforms (Azure preferred, AWS, GCP, OCI)
  • Experience in C#, Java, Python, Golang, or a similar high-level language
  • Prior experience in containers, Kubernetes, Terraform, Argo CD
  • Experience with Big Data technologies such as Spark and/or Hadoop is a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • B.S. in Computer Science or related field is required
