Summary

This job is seeking a highly motivated Senior Subcontract Administrator with experience in government subcontract administration, particularly with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) contracts. The role involves performing life cycle subcontract administration, managing proposals with subcontractors, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements, and collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of success in federal government contracting and possess strong leadership skills.

What you'll do

  • Perform life cycle subcontract administration for a high volume of government contracts within a diverse portfolio under the direction of the VP Contracts/Legal.
  • Operate consistently with STR’s Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and model these values in all activities and interactions.
  • Manage proposals directly with STR’s subcontractors, to include sending requests for proposals, proposal analysis, compliance activities, and proposal revision coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements in day-to-day execution and during audits.
  • Draft and negotiate subcontract agreements, to include interpreting proper flow down requirements from the prime contract.
  • Review, negotiate and execute non-disclosure agreements and other types of special agreements.
  • Support purchasing system compliance activities, including customer communications with the DCMA and leading Contractor Purchasing System Reviews (CPSRs)
  • Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Recommend process improvements to scale and optimize subcontract activities and practices.
  • Participate in special projects.

Requirements

  • Ideal candidate will have worked in a Government Contracting environment with subcontract experience
  • US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Security Clearance, if required
  • Preference for five (5) or more (5+) years of government subcontract experience with DoD and Intelligence customers
  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and general contracts law principles
  • Experience with various contract types (i.e., CPFF, FFP, T&M, Cost-Reimbursement, Labor-Hour)
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply federal regulations and related acquisition policies and guidance
  • Bachelor’s degree; work experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Working experience using Deltek Costpoint
