This role is for a contract Software Engineer based in the greater Seattle area, focusing on building reliable, secure, and scalable software solutions in the healthcare industry while emphasizing trustworthiness through security, privacy, and compliance.
What you'll do
- Build reliable, secure, and scalable software solutions using modern cloud-based paradigms
- Iterate and evolve software solutions while balancing privacy, security, and reliability
- Provide consultation and subject matter expertise for software development
- Lead major projects/programs initiatives and ensure on-time delivery with quality
- Review code developed by other software engineers and provide feedback
- Commit to ongoing training on key topics like privacy, compliance, and security
- Join on-call rotation to triage production software issues and recover services quickly
Requirements
- Has proven experience building reliable, secure, and scalable software solutions using modern cloud-based paradigms.
- Is a quick learner who knows how to iterate and evolve a software solution while carefully balancing the needs of privacy, security, and reliability against a changing product landscape.
- Has strong expertise and hands-on experience in coding, testing, source control, CI/CD pipelines, and APIs in the cloud.
- Provides consultation, subject matter expertise for software development, roll out and maintenance through full software life cycle.
- Lead major projects/programs initiatives, sprint planning, removal of roadblocks and ensure on-time delivery with quality.
- Is willing to review code developed by other software engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
- Is willing to commit to ongoing training on key topics like privacy, compliance, and security.
- Is willing to join on call rotation to triage production software issues and recover services quickly.
- Bachelor's/ MS Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline or equivalent years of experience
- Demonstrated working knowledge translating a business requirement to a functional design, development, testing and implementation.
- 5+ years of coding experience building production quality software in a team setting is a must.
- 3+ experience building cloud apps with technologies like Python, .NET, Node.js/JavaScript, React, Java is a must.
- Strong experience with serverless RESTful APIs to support API-driven services for system-to-system usage.
- Strong experience on modern cloud-native platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Extensive hands-on on DevOps tools such as Git, CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps experience is a big plus.
- Prior work with Azure Platform including Azure Function/Web Apps, Azure Storage account is a plus.
- Prior work with Azure Kubernetes Service, containerized application development is a plus.
- Knowledge of Azure Networking, Azure Firewall, Azure Key Vault, etc. related Azure Security is a plus.
- Extensive experience with Testing frameworks for React, node.js/JavaScript, .Net.
