Contract PositionSummary
Support Vimeo’s Legal Team in drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and administering agreements with suppliers and vendors, managing multiple priorities concurrently, and collaborating with various stakeholders.
What you'll do
- Independently review, draft, revise, interpret, and negotiate a broad range of agreements between Vimeo and its suppliers and vendors
- Work with stakeholders and procurement team to ensure contracts are negotiated and executed in compliance with contracting policies
- Respond promptly to approval requests from business teams and escalate issues where appropriate
- Educate stakeholders on policies, procedures, and negotiation playbook
- Assist in management and maintenance of standard contract clauses, templates, and processes to minimize friction with vendors and mitigate risk
Requirements
- 3 – 5 years of experience drafting and negotiating services agreements in an enterprise environment
- Solid understanding of commercial contract terms (*e.g.*, intellectual property rights, indemnification, and limitations of liability) and the ability to translate that understanding into redlines and articulate in negotiations
- Ability to identify legal risks within contracts and present summaries in a clear and compelling manner
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, extreme attention to detail, and good judgment
- Ability to work in a self-directed manner as well as in a team setting and manage multiple tasks at a time
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a remote environment
- Paralegal experience at a law firm or corporate legal department preferred (but not required)
- Notary Public certification preferred (but not required)
