Summary

This job is for an Instructional Designer on the Early Careers team at Twitch. The role involves centralizing and designing software engineering resources for incoming hires with 0-2 years of experience, creating onboarding plans and resources, and collaborating with subject matter experts and partners.

What you'll do

  • Create a holistic early career Software Development Engineer (SDE) portal and onboarding curriculum for onboarding early career SDE hires
  • Analyze existing engineering content and partner with engineers to review/audit onboarding material
  • Differentiate the onboarding plan for varied types of early career hires (interns, apprentices…)
  • Create self-paced modules that teach content areas identified as part of the onboarding process
  • Aggregate all early career engineering resources in a central repository
  • Participate in weekly meetings with Early Careers and other partners to provide status updates

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in instructional design
  • Demonstrated experience managing engineering partners across departments/levels
  • Used Articulate Rise to design instructional content
  • Worked autonomously overseeing end-to-end ID projects
  • Experience creating content with rapid ID methodologies
