Summary

This job is for a Contract Support Assistant at Rackner, a software consultancy. What you'll do

  • Supporting leadership with key administrative tasks
  • Assisting with operations and business development
  • Handling contracts, finance, and program management support
  • Growing into a Chief of Staff or Director of Contracts role
  • Commuting to the office and attending tasks in the DC metro area
  • Experience with Google Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar, and Slides, or Microsoft counterparts
  • Basic accounting principles and invoice drafting
  • Reading contracts and understanding CLIN-based billing, option periods, etc.
  • Client-facing experience in an administrative capacity
  • Clear and concise communication skills
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized
  • Maintaining a calendar and providing meeting support
  • Coordinating and arranging travel
  • Handling administrative tasks associated with attending, training, conference, or seminars
  • Experience interfacing with the government
  • Tracking leave and travel for employees
  • Drafting and proofreading correspondence
  • Basic office management and supporting in-processing and out-processing of employees
  • Experience with website content and social media updates (bonus qualification)

Requirements

  • Experience with Google Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar, and Slides, or Microsoft counterparts
  • Computing, software or technology knowledge is a plus
  • Experience with basic accounting principles, invoice drafting
  • Experience reading contracts (ideally in a Government Contracting setting), understanding of CLIN-based billing, option periods, etc.
  • Client-facing experience in an administrative capacity
  • Clear, concise communication skills (slack, email and in-person)
  • Highly detail oriented and organized
  • Experience with maintaining a calendar, providing meeting support, coordinating and arranging travel, and handling administrative tasks associated with attending, training, conference, or seminars
