Job Description

Overview
Morning Brew is seeking a Temporary People Ops Coordinator to support our growing People Ops team! This People Ops Coordinator will report to the VP, Head of People. You will also provide administrative support to the HR function while helping to drive HR initiatives.

Morning Brew is based in New York City and this role is in person at our NY headquarters. This role will be full-time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm in office.

Please note that this position is a temporary position for a 4-5 month period with the possibility to become full-time permanent. The start date is flexible.

What you’ll do:
- Create a positive onboarding experience for new employees; Coordinate employee onboarding with departments, ensure the return of required paperwork, schedule employees for orientation, and partner with the Talent Acquisition team
- Payroll Administration i.e timesheet entry, deduction calculations, reimbursements, etc
- Managing the employee off-boarding process
- Being a champion of work culture activities
- Maintain all HR employee files 
- Maintain and update all employee email distribution lists, as well as staff contact lists
- Assist in program rollouts and training (i.e.: performance review process, salary planning, benefits open enrollment, etc.)
- Assist HR team with ad-hoc reporting, special projects, and programs as requested
- Performing other duties as assigned

What makes you qualified:
- At least 2 years of prior HR administrative experience
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems
- Ability to be discreet and handle matters of confidentiality with utmost integrity, discretion, and sensitivity
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
- Experience with HRIS system (BambooHR and/ or Sequoia is preferred)
